It explains how the mensuration formulas for the circumference and area of circles and semicircles; arc lengths and areas of sectors are derived.
The calculation of surface areas and volumes of prisms, cylinders, pyramids, cones, spheres and hemispheres are also included.
Practice
MegaMensuration can generate thousands of word problems on the topics included. Each problem is accompanied by a labelled diagram to help the student Understand it more easily. Students can choose sums from one or more topics at a time. They can, for example, do 2 sums on one topic and move on to do 3 sums on another topic and so on.
